1:1 startup/investor pitches

Matching runs on 3 dimensions5 Stages21 Sectors11 Regions

  • 20 matched 7-minute pitches per startup. Video calls switch automatically on our platform, so you just show up and pitch 1:1 — the 1st investor, then 2nd, … then 20th.
  • Book a Startup Pitch Ticket and you’ll get a calendar invite for the 2.5-hour 1:1 pitches on Sep 17.
  • Matching runs automatically during the session — you don’t schedule anything in advance or prepare a list.
  • We match each startup with the investors closest to it by stage, sector and geo, most thesis-aligned first. If strict matches run short, we also draw on investors who invest agnostically or globally — and, more rarely, on the closest fit: an overlap on at least 2 of the 3 filters.
  • Every matched VC, angel or family office comes from the investors list — the same profiles, checks and theses you can browse right now.
  • Investors willing to join 1:1 pitches need to apply through our investor ticket.

3:00 pm ET–5:00 pm ET

1:1 co-investor, family office, LP/GP speed networking

  • Direct investors: join 2.5 hrs of 7-min 1:1 founder pitches matched to your thesis — this unlocks 2 hrs of speed networking with co-investors, family offices & LP/GP matches.
  • LPs & family offices: join the 1:1 GP/investor matches on Sep 17 — this unlocks your exclusive LP-only and FO-only sessions on later dates (we’ll reach out personally).

Separate exclusive LP-only & Family-Office-only sessions follow on later dates for active Sep-17 LP/FO attendees. Register as an investor and we'll be in touch personally.

FAQ

1Full detailed guides: How 1:1 meetings work for investors & startups?
Explore the instructions for investors – takes 4 minutes: vcconf.com/investor1-1s

Explore the instructions for startups – takes 4 minutes: vcconf.com/startup1-1s
2What filters are used to match startups & investors?
Matching runs on 3 dimensions – stage, sector and geo.

Stages (5): Pre-seed, Seed, Series A, Series B, Series C+.

Sectors (21): AI, SaaS, Healthcare & MedTech, Fintech/InsurTech/RegTech, Climate & Energy, Deep Tech, E-com/Retail/CPG, Education, BioTech, AgriTech & FoodTech, Future of Work/HR Tech, Blockchain/Crypto, Media/Entertainment/Gaming/Sports, Hardware & Robotics, Marketplaces, PropTech & Real Estate, Mobility & Supply Chain, Cybersecurity, Marketing/AdTech, Tourism & Hospitality, SpaceTech.

Regions (11): US, Canada, UK, Europe, Israel, Middle East, Asia Pacific, India, Australia & New Zealand, Latin America, Africa.
3How does matching & pitches work for startups & investors?
After you book a Startup Pitch Ticket, you'll get a calendar invite for the 2.5-hour 1:1 session on Sep 17. Matching runs automatically during the session – you don't schedule anything in advance or prepare a list.

We match each startup with the investors closest to it by stage, sector and geo – prioritizing the most thesis-aligned investors first.

If there aren't enough strict matches, we also draw on investors who invest agnostically or globally. In rarer cases, we match on the closest available fit – an investor overlapping on at least two of the three filters (stage, sector, geo).

The video calls switch automatically on our platform, so you just show up and pitch. Each startup gets 20 matched 7-minute pitches across the session.
4How does the investor-only networking session work?
After the startup pitches, investors join a 2-hour 1:1 speed-networking session – co-investors, family offices and LP/GP matches, 7 minutes each.

During registration every investor tells us their investor type, what they invest in (fund types or direct deals), and their sector and geo focus. We use that to prioritize matches: LPs are matched with relevant GPs/funds first, and family offices are matched by co-investment fit. Where there's overlap, we aim to pair every LP and family office with the most relevant counterparts.

To unlock the investor-only session, direct investors first join the startup pitches (this is why we verify each investor's registration before the event – just register and we'll confirm).

At past events, the GP-to-LP ratio ran roughly 4.5-8 GPs per LP, so not every one of your 7-minute meetings will be with an LP – many will be with other investors (co-investors, GPs).
5How do I sponsor founders or invite my portfolio startups?
Pick one of the packages in our sponsorship section. Pay online by card, or request an invoice at team@vcconf.com. After payment, we'll ask you for the founders' emails, and we'll send each of them an invitation to the 1:1 pitches.
6Why do you charge founders but not investors?
Because a little skin in the game keeps the quality of startups high. At our last event, we had 4,000+ startups and just over 1,000 investors – if every startup could pitch for free, the average quality would drop, and investors' limited time would be spent worse. A paid ticket means the founders in the room are the ones who believe they're ready to raise.

We've built the most efficient way for a startup to pitch real investors: 20 guaranteed matched 1:1 pitches in one afternoon, instead of months of cold outreach or hoping to get selected somewhere. "Free" alternatives usually cost far more in founder time, with no guarantee you actually reach relevant investors – we compress that into 2.5 hours.
7Do you take responsibility for the startups or investors who participate?
No. We don't run detailed due diligence on participants. Conferences like ours can attract people with questionable deals – or bad actors – so participation alone is not an endorsement, and you shouldn't take anything a participant says at face value. Do your own research and due diligence, and gather your own evidence before entering any deal or partnership. We're not liable for any losses arising from interactions between participants.
8What does "risk-free" mean on the Startup Pitch Ticket?
We work hard to give founders a real shot at connecting with investors – but we can't guarantee investment; that's each investor's own decision. What we can guarantee: if you're not happy with how the conference or your pitches went, or you hit real problems, email team@vcconf.com within one week after the event with the subject "Refund Startup Pitch Ticket" and a short note on what went wrong. We'll issue the refund through Stripe – it usually lands within 10 business days. So at worst you get your money back; at best you find it was money well spent.
9How can I see who's attending and their investment thesis?
At registration we ask each participant whether they're willing to share their contact details with other attendees. For those who opt in, we include their registration details in the Super Networking List – it contains only the people who agreed to share. Anyone who didn't opt in to share their email or LinkedIn is not in that list. Separately, we publish a (non-exhaustive) list of approved investors confirmed for the 1:1 startup pitches on the site, which gives you a sense of the investor audience.
10How do I get my personal poster to share on LinkedIn?
We prepare an individual poster for every participant, using the photo from your LinkedIn/registration profile. Just register or buy a ticket – we'll email you with a subject line that includes "Step 2." Sharing your poster unlocks extra bonuses – you'll see them after you register.
11What if I miss the panels while I'm in my 1:1 pitches?
The 1:1 pitches (12:30-3 pm ET) run in parallel with the panels. You won't miss anything - startup & investor tickets include 4 hours of content recordings, sent about a week after the event.
12Can 2-3 people from my startup join and pitch?
Each call is 1:1 – one screen, one investor at a time. Your co-founders are welcome to join you in the same room and pitch together off one screen – that's covered by a single ticket. 1 device = 1 ticket.

If your team is spread across different locations and each of you wants your own pitching slots, get a separate ticket per person. Each ticket is matched independently, so you may end up with overlapping investors or a completely different set of 20.
13What's the founder program guaranteed in the 1:1 Startup Pitch Ticket?
AltaLab is the founder program from AltaIR Capital – a global early-stage VC with $600M AUM, 400+ investments and 10+ unicorns (incl. Deel, Miro & PandaDoc). The program is a free 3-week online sprint, and the next cohort is coming soon. All sessions are recorded.

Admission is normally selective, but after you get your ticket, we'll send instructions to apply, plus a partner code to enter on the application so your spot is confirmed.

It's for founders at any stage – from just an idea to early traction, no traction required (solo founders and teams both welcome). Over 3 weeks, you work daily on your own startup using frameworks developed by AltaIR Capital's GP, Igor Ryabenkiy, and the AltaLab team, learning to focus on the right problem before you build, sharpen your product, and pitch to customers and investors – so you build real traction even if you're starting from zero.

Teams that complete the sprint can advance to work directly with Igor Ryabenkiy and the AltaLab team, where the strongest are considered for a $50K SAFE or up to $500K in investment – decided by AltaIR Capital's investment committee on a case-by-case basis.

Last AltaLab cohort: 250+ teams completed the sprint, and 10 received investment offers from AltaIR Capital.

Feedback from participants of our events

I used your 77-advisor database for our $150k AI cybersecurity bridge round... already received 3 responses (including John Mink) plus one full interview. We're now waiting for their next step. Really strong hit rate!

Rudy Drischel

Co-founder & CEO @ Authenticon

We secured investment for our startup, launched through Post Urban Ventures (venture studio), via Max Pog's network on PitchCalls. The system was very nice and straightforward to use and we talked to several really compatible investors that we wouldn't have met otherwise.

Sebastien Guilbaud

Founder & CEO @ Irida

Overall, I liked the format. The timing worked well, and the profile cards were genuinely useful — LinkedIn, basic context, company info all in one place. It made it easy to prep quickly and connect with people right after.

Xenia Shurak

Founder in Residence @ Accumulator

I really like this platform, the nature of an off-script 3-minute elevator pitch that is more conversational really works for myself.

Manny Mann

CEO @ Bren

I had a great time at the event... I want to commend the excellent organization, the very detailed agenda, the relevance of the panel's topics, and the innovative startups you featured.

Angela Jimenez

Investor @ Leon Precision Capital

We are organizing a meeting with 3 of the founders that you matched with our fund. We very much appreciated your latest conference, it was very insightful.

2026 VC/startup network study across our 23 virtual events

The founders who come to our events
are fundable

We traced funding for every startup we could identify across our Zoom events between November 2023 and June 2026. A high share of founders have raised — and paid-ticket startups raise more often.

16,298
Startups we could trace from our events
6,126
Have raised funding — 37.6%
40.9%
Of paid-ticket founders raised. Higher than the 37.6% baseline.
1,367
Funded by investors attending our events
+43%
larger median round for startups connected to our investors — $10M vs $7M (correlation).
$9.8B+
raised in dated rounds after attending.

What this means

Investors who attend write checks, and founders who attend go on to raise. We don't claim our events caused these rounds — but meeting the right investor is where every check starts, and our network is full of both sides.

Linked-investor figures are correlations, not proof of causation. Based on our June 2026 study of 16,298 traceable startups across 23 events; capital and post-event numbers are minimums — many founders don't disclose round size or date. Read the full research →
